Portland, OR
Portland was a full time job! haha I had so many things going on and had a list of friends and family coming out to the show. First I had a lunch date with a fan of the band and community member of Heart Support Spencer, we walked down the street for a bite to eat and some catch up...
I ordered something i would NEVER order... a veggie hot sandwich with cheese.. the cheese is what kept me interested and a side salad..
We ended up talking about how he had a strong passion for playing guitar, he has 7 guitars and he hasn't even graduated high school yet... he wants to be in a touring Christian band and is looking to join one in the area.. He also is SICK at guitar! Has been playing for 10 years.. later that night on stage he would jump up on the stage and Tim Tebow on stage and then dive into the crowd.. pretty hilarious!
Next was meeting up with some friends one of those friends was Jared, He is a husband, a father, and a photographer! Great guy and he brought us some donuts we've never had before... VOODOO!! Apparently the donut shop VooDoo has been on a tv show for their insane donuts.. Mine had peanut butter, chocolate, and cookie crumbs on it... called ODB i believe.. Jared's favorite.
if you live in the area you HAVE TO TRY THESE!!! THEY ARE EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY SO JUST
ONE!
Also Kris, my wife and I just got our own place in Connecticut.... it took us a while to save up and to find the right place that we felt comfortable in but now that we have found it, we are really excited to finally have our own place to call home. She is working hard finding good deals for furniture and decor.. She says she won't tell me about what she is getting.. it'll be a surprise for when I get home.... I'm not worried.. she has good taste!
The show was the most fun we've had with a crowd hands down! No barricades, no security, no nothing.. hot as heck on stage.. Kids were crowd surfing every five seconds, we sang happy birthday to our guitar tech Kevin, we had a chicken fight in the middle of the White Washed,
we had kids dancing to Internal Cannon... it was the hottest but the funnest show of the tour.. no seriousness just a good time and we had kids up on stage dancing the works! Great time Portland! Talk to quite a few kids who want to be in bands after show, talked to some kids who had questions about how i write lyrics, and questions about my faith.. after that I ended up hanging with a close brother of mine... just talking about life, God, and our careers and what we want out of our lives.. pretty inspiring and motivating.. after that I ate a mexican burrito and went to bed. haha long but exciting night!
