Relationships

Relationships. The one thing we can all familiarize with, the one thing that ties us all together. Whether it’s family, friends, a significant other, a pen pal, even the barista at your local coffee shop -- we can all identify with the term “relationship.” A relationship can be one of the best things in your life, so naturally, they require a constant demand of exerted energy and hard work.

With that being said, it’s not always a walk in the park. Family disputes, falling outs with friends, trying to make new ones, break ups, breaking free, starting over...it’s tough. Many times we have no idea in the slightest how to handle issues in our relationships. It could be that we are seeking answers from peers that are unfamiliar with the issue, or simply there are multiple solutions we are left to decide between. Other times we know exactly what to do but just need a push in the right direction.

How do I deal with my parents not accepting who I am?

Is this how a best friend is supposed to act?

Is infidelity forgivable?

Do I trust the people who have betrayed me in the past?

In life, we live and we learn. However, if you talk to anyone who learned the “hard way”, I guarantee they’ll say they wished that had someone to guide them during that time. Our youth is, simultaneously, the most wonderful and tragic thing. Most of us don’t automatically know what constitutes right and wrong in a relationship. And that’s okay. Heart Support desires to provide guidance for that inexperience and prevent any hurt or tragedy possible during these memorable years.

The relationships we have are one of the most intimate areas of our lives, and it can be very difficult to seek out others when we are having problems. Heart Support can relate all too well to this subject, and we enjoy giving advice, counsel or just an ear to listen to anyone that needs one.
