HeartSupport continues growth by supporting 1,629 music fans by the second quarter of 2025

“Thank you so much for your response. It brought me to tears,” a Ren fan admitted in the comments section of a video. “Being seen and understood is soul soothing. There can be a life after abuse but it takes work and time and the ability to forgive yourself for something you never deserved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

This wasn’t the only Ren fan who was held and cared for by a HeartSupport reply in the past few months. Another wrote:

“Thank you so much for responding to my previous post. It has meant the world to me. I have always felt like a grain of sand on an endless beach.”

Those two voices are proof of the real change that HeartSupport has continued to effect through April, May, and June of this year.

HeartSupport started 2025 strong by exceeding 80% of their organizational goals in the first quarter of 2025. That momentum has only continued to pick up through the second quarter as festival season has taken off and seen the organization deployed across the country.

Here are just a few second quarter milestones:

  • 228 support calls held on Discord

  • 2234 replies shared on the Support Wall

  • 163 active volunteers across both programs (51 Supporters; 112 Repliers)

  • 807 total hours of peer support offered

Support calls are a particular example of ways HeartSupport’s growth this year is truly remarkable. Last year, 15 sets of peers were paired up. In quarter 2 alone, 51 pairs were meeting!

The reply program online continues to thrive as well. The 2,234 replies shared were in response to 730 unique users who opened up about their mental health on our online Support Wall.

On the ground at festivals and events

HeartSupport set an ambitious goal of deploying at a dozen festivals this summer. That goal is well underway.

At each event, HeartSupport sets up their inflatable support wall, where attendees of that event can share their struggles anonymously. Other music fans could then handwrite their responses in real time, offering support and solidarity.

“To know that there are so many people out there who have the same situations, and there are so many people who have the same amount of love for people like me. It just makes me feel better to know that I can go and do what I need to do to get the help that I need. It’s a big relief. And it is an eye-opener to know that people are behind me.”
— Taylor, a Boardwalk Rock Fest attendee

There is still time to be part of making the rest of the festivals happen!

This incredible impact has only been possible because of the HeartSupport community: from bands to fans to brand-new friends. A total of 807 hours of peer support were offered in the second quarter of the year representing an immense investment of time, energy, and love.

With that continued foundation, HeartSupport is moving into 2025’s third quarter excited for what lies ahead! Ready to take the next step in your involvement with HeartSupport? Learn more about getting involved.
