HeartSupport impacts Louder Than Life Festival 2025 with an all-volunteer presence

HeartSupport was present and ready to help heal the scene at 2025’s massive Louder Than Life festival — manned entirely by volunteers.

With a lineup including legends like Slayer, Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon, Sleep Token, and many more, Louder Than Life was positioned as one of the premiere music festivals of the 2025 season. It was one of a dozen chosen by HeartSupport’s executive team at the start of the year as a perfect pairing for messages of hope and moments of peer connection.

What ultimately unfolded was even more special than they could have planned: the Support Wall at Louder Than Life was manned by an all-volunteer crew, a group of four music fans all dedicated to helping people just like them. In fact, one supporter came to join them after previously receiving support himself at Welcome to Rockville earlier this summer.

Together, these volunteers invited an overwhelming outpouring of support.

HeartSupport's Impact at Louder Than Life 2025

Kaylee was one of the festival attendees who opened up. She wrote on the Support Wall about her experience of losing her brother to suicide. Ultimately, she was prompted to open up when she saw so many others doing the same.

“I think it’s the most beautiful thing to sit here and see all the different things that people are opening up about and all the different support that everybody’s getting,” Kaylee offered. “It’s absolutely beautiful.”

When asked if she herself had ever opened up in this way before Louder Than Life, Kaylee said, “Not publicly like this, ever. It’s more like a close-knit family thing where I talk to people who are closer to me than opening up publicly like this.”

The risk paid off. Reading the replies made Kaylee want to sob. In fact, she walked up just as one of the supporters, the one who had previously received support at Welcome to Rockville, was responding to her words. The two shared an emotional hug.

“It’s beautiful that random people that I don’t even know are sitting here and replying to something that I went through. The love and support is beautiful,” she concludes emotionally.

Kaylee’s story is a beautiful example of the true power behind HeartSupport: you. Your volunteer hours, your words, your compassion, your vulnerability.

“I wrote a note last night and it’s getting worse,” another anonymous contributor said. “I don’t know how to open up to anyone out of fear of being admitted.”

“Opening up is difficult, but it’s the first step to getting better,” one replier encouraged. “It’s not easy, but it won’t be forever.”

“Asking for help is one of the hardest steps,” someone else added. “Please don’t give up. You are a light. You are important. You are loved.”
